Our Technical Quality Laboratory is where the journey of each grade begins. Our technical team work with the customer to understand the exact detail of the material and finished product requirements. From here, formulations are built using decades of experience and knowledge. These formualtions then undergo a wide range of testing assesing the composition, heat stability, physical and rheological properties. They are also assesed in a predictive modelling program to determine if they meet the required perfromance. Materials which show the required technical perfromance then move to sample preparation.

Using pilot scale mixing and compounding can intruduce varaiables when scaling up further to production scale batches. For that reason, Eagley offer all trial samples from full scale production. This allows us to optimise the mixer charge to ensure Vortex and create standard operating conditions on the compounder to ensure quality and consistency of the finished compound.

Running trials at a customer are a cost to them and take up valauable production time. Being right first time with a compound submission allows the trial to form part of the production run by being able to run with little or no changes to the machine parameters whilst meeting all of QC requirements of the finished article. The trial can be packed out for sale.

Eagley are unique in that their production scale extrsuion and moulding machines can be used to test develoment grades in a real world environment, not just a small scale laboratory. This allows us to present a detailed technical report alongside a full scale production trial report with finished articles for inspection.

Because Eagley are building Quality and Consistency into their products, they are proud to share the QC data. A detailed database allows us to track trends and work with the customer to agree test tolerances. Over time, these can be fine tuned with the customer in line with what the trend data suggests.
